Administrative Core

OVERVIEW

The Administrative Core is responsible for the overall management and support of Center activities.  Weekly investigator video conferences are held to discuss research projects, new FOAs, and papers in preparation. The Center is comprised of six scientific cores: Research Core, Training Core, Community Engagement Core, Data Science Core, Environmental Core, and the Translation and Dissemination Core.

 

SPECIFIC AIMS

  • Specific Aim 1: Supportand maintain an interdisciplinary, inter-institutional collaborative exposome working group.
  • Specific Aim 2:  Provide a multi-institutional infra-structure that facilitates inter-disciplinary health disparities and translational research.
  • Specific Aim 3: Conducttransdisciplinary health disparities research education and training for faculty, medical residents, and health professions students from partner institutions and community members.
  • Specific Aim 4:  Establish and maintain structures and processes for engaging academic, clinical, professional, lay and policy audiences in the translation and dissemination of health disparities research training.
  • Specific Aim 5: Ensure compliance with all administrative, fiscal, and research policies and procedures.

 

CENTER LEADERSHIP

The scientific leadership for the center is comprised of a transdisciplinary, multi-institutional Exposome Work Group. This organizational structure is well suited to empowering investigators to contribute their diverse talents to the purpose of conducting transdisciplinary health disparities research, and translating and disseminating research findings into effective clinical guidelines, public and environmental health interventions and programs, public policies, and environmental justice strategies.
