PROJECTS
National Public Health Hackathon
The Nashville Public Health Hackathon focuses on identifying sources of open data that can be used to help promote the health of residents of the greater Nashville community. At this event, participants collect open source data, create interactive maps and data visualizations with community engagement enabling citizens to contribute data and discuss how it can be used to improve the environment and the health of the Nashville community. Participants have included students from Meharry Medical College Public Health Department, Vanderbilt University and Nashville Software School. Participants also included individuals from neighborhood organizations and IT professionals in the area.
